With over 30-year experience, our firms co-counsel Roderick V. Hannah, is an experienced civil trial attorney who has successfully represented corporations and individuals in the Florida federal and state courts, before federal and state administrative agencies, and in arbitration proceedings. Over the last 20-year Mr. Hannah and Mr. Duran have co-counseled hundreds of cases together and they are known in the legal community as an excellent legal team.

Mr. Hannah of has extensive experience in the area of employment law, including employment-related litigation such as unlawful discrimination under the ADA and ADAA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, and the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992; wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act; unlawful retaliation claims, including whistle blower claims, under various federal and state statutes; and claims arising under non-compete agreements and employment contracts. Mr. Hannah’s practice also includes advising clients on litigation prevention techniques, employment contract development and preparation, personnel manual and employment policy development and preparation, and employee benefits issues.

In addition to his employment practice, Mr. Hannah has substantial litigation and trial experience in fair housing litigation, construction defect litigation, admiralty and maritime tort litigation, insurance coverage litigation, complex business tort litigation, and general commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice before all of the Florida state trial and appellate courts (including the Supreme Court of Florida), the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Mr. Hannah has an excellent track record of securing successful results for his clients, whether by settlement or trial. With his large firm experience and now as a member of a smaller firm, he has been able to consistently achieve these excellent results in an expeditious and cost-efficient manner, without sacrificing quality.

Mr. Hannah is a graduate of Davidson College (B.A., 1981) and the State University of New York at Buffalo (J.D., cum laude, 1984). He has been a featured speaker at numerous seminars and panel presentations on various employment law issues, including sexual harassment, disability discrimination, unlawful retaliation, ethnic diversity in the workplace, maintaining a drug-free workplace, and interviewing and hiring skills. He is also the author of various articles for professional journals, including articles dealing with a wide range of employment-related topics. Mr. Hannah is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating in ethics and legal ability as determined by his peers.

Mr. Hannah is happily married to his wife, Carmen, and has six children. Away from the office he enjoys travelling with his family, attending sporting events, reading, partaking in cultural events such as the theater, film and museums, and engaging in various community services, mostly through his church.
